Fully satisfying all performance requirements, the new mobile and semi-mobile conveying system for stockpiling processed copper oxide, erected turnkey for Minera Escondida - BHP Billiton, Chile, is put into service with a capacity of 4,200 t/h.

In the scope of implementing the servicing contract concluded with Minera Escondida the first “move” of the shiftable belt conveyor system supplied by FAM was successfully completed. This is an important event for FAM’s
service strategy because in the past this efficient technology of shifting large belt conveyor systems had lost its importance in the Chilean market.
